Vijay Sethupathi To Lock Horns With Karthi In Sardar 2

Karthi starrer Sardar which was released last year became a blockbuster in Tamil and above average grosser in Telugu. Nagarjuna released the film in Telugu under his Annapurna Studios banner. Keeping aside it's commercial aspects, the film has won accolades for its concept of water Mafia and how drinking water from plastic bottles is harming the health of public.

Director PS Mithran who earned recognition with Vishal's Abhimanyudu has done extensive research and made Sardar. His engaging screenplay and plot made it an interesting watch. During its release itself makers announced it's sequel Sardar 2. The same was revealed during the climax of Sardar. 

Now PS Mithran directorial is on the cards and it promises to be bigger and better than the first part. Sources say that Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing the music for Sardar 2, replacing GV Prakash who scored for the first part. There is also an exciting buzz that Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the villain in Sardar 2, making it more exciting.

However, this is not confirmed yet. The details of the plot, cast and crew are yet to be revealed. Karthi played dual role as father and son as spy and cop roles respectively. The film also had a stellar star cast including Raashii Khanna, Rajisha Vijayan, Chunky Panday, Laila, Rithvik and Munishkanth. Sardar 2 is expected to go on floors soon and will be made on a huge scale. The film will be produced by Prince Pictures in association with Red Giant Movies
