Nation remembers martyrs on Kargil Vijay Diwas 2023. 21 years passed by when Pakistan in 1999 led by General Musharaff betrayed Indian PM Vajpayee who embarked on the Lahore Bus yatra for peace in the region. Within two months in March and April 1999, Pakistan sent its mercenaries and soldiers who captured the crucial strategic points in Kargil, Kashmir which would have cut off the entire Jammu and Kashmir from India.

People of the nation couldn't believe the backstabbing by Pakistan though Pakistan has been backstabbing them umpteen times. Indian government headed by PM Vajpayee and Army decided to teach a tough lesson to Pakistan. It confined the war to the Kargil flash point and the Kargil war was codenamed Operation Vijay.

The war continued from May to July 1999. Indian Army drove away Pakistani soldiers and mercenaries so mercilessly that Pakistan refused to take back their dead soldiers also. Thanks to the sacrifices of  Major Rajesh Singh Adhikari, Major Vivek Gupta, Captain Vikram Batra, Lt Manoj Kumar Pandey, and many others, India won the Kargil War on this very day and from then on Nation remembers and pays floral tributes to the martyrs.

Few films like Shershah have been made on martyrs like Captain Vikram Batra, but people of the nation should remember each and every one who laid their lives for the safety and security of the nation. More than 527 soldiers laid their lives and Cinejosh pays floral tributes to each and everyone not only on Kargil Divas but also each and every second.
