Actress Mrunal Thakur who is shot to fame with Sita Ramam last year co-starring Dulquer Salmaan is now one of the most sought after heroines. She is currently doing 'Hi Nanna' with Nani. Apart from films and performances, she can pack a punch too with her kickboxing moves.
Inspired by her costar from Toofan, Farhan Aktar, Mrunal trained under Rohit Nair, a MMA, Jiujistu player and coach. Mrunal did have a few action scenes in the film and her moves were quite kick ass. Although her training was for her role in Toofan, the combat sport became a part of her workout routine too.
In one of her interviews, Mrunal mentioned that the MMA training came as great help for her role in the film Selfiee, where she had a special number, Kudinayee Ni Teri. Training under a professional MMA coach such as Rohit Nair surely takes a lot of effort and dedication.
Mrunal’s commitment towards mastering the MMA techniques reflects her attitude to take on challenging roles. Mrunal is up for all things challenging.
