Hidimbha Completes Censor And Set For Release On July 20th

Hidimba starring Ashwin Babu has been in news for its issues with censor board while certification. The main reason behind censor board objections is excessive violence in the film. Hidimbha did get clearance from censor officials initially, as they felt some intense action sequences were objectionable. Then, the movie is re-censored by the review committee and it got approval. Today makers announced it's release date.

Hidimbha crossed all hurdles and it will now hit the screens on July 20th. “A tale never told before & a genre never explored before in Indian cinema,” reads the release date poster. In fact, the theatrical trailer too hinted the same. It’s an interesting story with many thrills and chills.

Written and Directed by Aneel Kanneganti, Produced by Gangapatnam Sridhar under the banner of Sri Vignesh Karthik Cinemas (SVK Cinemas), in association with OAK Entertainments.

Anil Sunkara of AK Entertainments presents it. Hidimbha has Nandita Sweta playing Ashwin’s love interest. B Rajasekar is the cinematographer and Vikas Badisa is the music director. Hidimbha is releasing on 20th July.
