Vijayendra Prasad on RRR2 and Mahabharat. Star writer Vijayendra Prasad speaking to scribes, came up with sensational updates on RRR 2 and also on his son Rajamouli's dream project Mahabharat. It is known that during Oscar promotions and his interactions with international scribes, Rajamouli spoke about the sequel to his magnum opus RRR.

During that time, many thought Rajamouli is just coining the sequel world only to garner more attention to RRR. Now Vijayendra Prasad who penned stories for Baahubali and RRR, speaking to scribes said that the RRR sequel is very much on the cards and will happen in a lavish manner by Hollywood standards.

He said however Rajamouli may not direct it though he presides over the project. Apart from it, he also spoke about Mahabharat. He said Rajamouli will also take up Mahabharat.

He said Mahabharat will be made as a franchise and have many parts. Speaking about Rajamouli's project with Mahesh Babu he said the project will be launched on 9 August 2023 and the film will be releasing in 2026.
