Ramanand Sagar's son on Adipurush. Prabhas, Kriti Sanon's Adipurush directed by Om Raut which released amidst huge expectations on 16 June 2023 got a shocking negative talk. Many people expressed their disappointment and the right-thinking religious people even filed cases against the makers for insulting the sentiment of the Hindus for their portrayal of the characters in the film.
In the midst of all this, people are reliving the experience of watching Ramayan, the popular serial on TV. Ramanand Sagar made this serial and the characters turned out to be immortal. Arun Govil, Deepika Chiklia, Sunil Lahiri, Arvind Trivedi, Dara Singh lived in the roles of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Ravan and Hanuman.
Now, Ramanand Sagar's son Prem Sagar speaking to scribes reacted to Adipurush and its tapori dialogues. He said he did not see the film but saw the trailer and teaser. He reacted to the dialogue of Hanuman which says ' Tel Tere Baap Ka, Jalegi Tere Baap Ka'/ He said Om Raut created a Marvel out of Adipurush.
He said even his father Ramanand Sagar took creative liberties but he stood to the scriptures and never tampered with the facts. He said Ravan is a learned man and cannot be projected as a villain. He pointed out that Ram sent Lakshman to learn from Ravan and cannot portray him as a dreaded villain.
He then came with a powerful parting remark saying if one wants to make Modern Ramayan for genex movie lovers, then show it at Breach Candy and Colaba and not to the entire world.
