Director Sudipto Sen of the much-talked-about film 'The Kerala Story' been hospitalised. This Adah Sharma starrer is a runaway hit and crossed RS 200 Crores at domestic boxoffice. The reason for Sudipto Sen's hospitalisation is due to exhaustion caused by his extensive travel schedule. He has been tirelessly promoting his movie despite bans and protests.

All upcoming promotional visits to various cities have been suspended until he recovers. Once he regains his strength, Sudipto intends to resume the promotional campaign for 'The Kerala Story' and has plans to visit ten more cities. Released on May 5, 'The Kerala Story' features a talented cast including Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani.

The film narrates the story of four women from Kerala who are coerced into converting to Islam and joining the Islamic State militant Islamist group (ISIS). It received a lot of criticism and faced a ban in Tamil Nadu. While Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh announced Tax-free for the film.

The Kerala Story released in theatres on May 5 and has since generated buzz at the box office despite controversy. As the first female-centric film to do so, the movie just exceeded the amazing milestone of Rs 200 crore in domestic box office.
