Happy Birthday To Versatile Star Karthi

Karthi needs no introduction about either who he is or how good his performance is. Everyone in South Film Industry is familiar with Karthi and his Powerpacked acting abilities. Be it a fun-filled jovial role, a beast like action role, an ambitious cop, a house next door guy, Karthi does it all and impresses in each and every role mentioned above. This Kollywood actor has become a part of Tollywood too.

Karthi is the younger brother of Hero Suriya and younger son of veteran actor Siva Kumar. He entered the film industry as an assistant director to Mani Ratnam and them became a lead actor with Paruthiveeran. After massive success of the film and winning accolades for his performance in it, he starred in Aayirathil Oruvan and Paiyaa. While the former became a cult film the later gave him a superhit at the boxoffice. All these three films got dubbed into Telugu and became superhits providing him a platform in Telugu too at the very early stage of his career. His Naan Mahaan Alla dubbed into Telugu as Naa Peru Siva also scored a hit for him.

Then Karthi with the remake of Vikramarkudu in Tamil as Siruthai has scored biggest blockbuster in Tamil and earned his position as a star hero. Then his films Saguni, Alex Pandian, All In All Azhagu Raja faced failures. But, Karthi dubbed most of his films in Telugu. He even learned Telugu and dubbed for himself. He bounced back with successes of Biriyani, critically acclaimed Madras and rural backdrop action drama Komban. Karthi did a Telugu - Tamil bilingual Oopiri with Nagarjuna and became much closer to Telugu audience.

After a couple of disappointments with Kaashmora and Kaatru Veliyidai / Cheliyaa Karthi made a stunning comeback with Theeran / Khakhi and Khaithi / Kaidhi which became blockbusters. His Kadaikutty Singam / Chinababu is produced by his brother Suriya and became biggest blockbuster in Tamil. His films Sulthan and Sardar added more to his image.  His latest Ponniyin Selvan became industry hit in Tamil and he won all praises for his role in the film. His upcoming film Japan where he plays a crazy character is slated to release for Diwali, 2023.
