Movie Lovers' shocking parameters for South Stars are becoming a hot point for discussion. The intense discussion is due to the webseries Rana Naidu which featured Victory Venkatesh and  Hot Hunk Rana. Many got excited as Venkatesh and Rana, real-life relatives teamed for the first time in full-length roles and made their debut with the webseries.

The intense teasers and trailers got everyone excited but when they happened to watch the first few minutes they got a huge shock hearing Venkatesh mouthing choicest abuses. Many are blasting Venkatesh for doing such a role at this age. They are ok with Rana as he had done many negative roles in the past. Now reports have it, that Venkatesh and Rana have given the green signal to the second season of Rana Naidu which is the adaptation of the US drama Ray Donovan.

However the reactions many feel that movie lovers set shocking parameters for south stars. For long south, people are extremely conservative, and even top stars used to stay away from kissing and hugging scenes, intimate liplocks, etc, and refrained from using expletive words. This was in stark contrast to Bollywood stars who quickly got accustomed to and introduced Hollywood culture in the North and to North movie lovers.

To some extent Malayalam stars like Suresh Gopi and others broke the trend but Tollywood,Sandalwood and Kollywood stars refrained from taking the daring steps.With the OTT revolution, many stars started doing webseries and they used to deliver dialogues with obscene words and even went overboard by doing intimate scenes, smooches, and kissing scenes. But South stars looked down OTTs and webseries for quite some time and felt using expletives and doing intimate scenes is taboo and below their dignity. So when Venkatesh tried to break the shackles with this role, everyone got shocked, and instead of appreciating his daring attitude and trying to set a new trend for others in Tollywood to follow, people started attacking and criticizing him.
