Back to Back Hits: Balakrishna Did It After 3 Decades

Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna is succeeding in multitasking these days. No doubt. He is at cloud nine while his fans are raising collars for a reason. This Hindupur MLA made 'Unstoppable' the biggest ever success on the OTT platform. 

However, fans are going great guns as their favourite hero has done a rare feat in his career after 3 decades. Balakrishna delivered two back to back hits with Akhanda and Veera Simha Reddy. Having collected Rs.65 crore share, Akhanda has recorded a clean blockbuster status based on the statistics of the pre release business and post release earnings. 

Veerasimhareddy, though, surpassed the break even mark Rs.75 crore, the film has to incur losses in two to three areas including Overseas. Yet again, the film is said to have got a hit status with Rs.75+ crore worldwide share. 

It is a common practice for Balakrishna, scoring 3 or more disasters after every blockbuster. Long back, Balakrishna delivered two back to back hits such as 'Bangaru Bullodu' (Released on 3 September 1993) and 'Bhairava Dweepam' (Released on 14 April 1994). This means, exactly three decades later Balakrishna repeated the magic of two back to back hits.
