Tragedy struck Tollywood when it lost another great actor. Legendary actor Kaikala Satyanarayana breathed his last in the wee hours of today. It is coming out that Kaikala Satyanarayana passed away at 4 AM today. He had been suffering from ill health for quite some time. His final rites will be performed tomorrow. 

Born on 25 July 1935 in Kavutaram,Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, Kaikala Satyanarayana completed his graduation in Gudivada college. Kaikala Satyanarayana made his debut with Sipayi Kooturu in 1959 under Chanagya direction. He was spotted by DL.Narayana. Kaikala Satyaranayana had a striking resemblance of senior NTR and he played the dupe of NTR in many films.  NTR offered Satyanarayana a role in his film Apoorva Sahasra Siraccheda Chintamani in 1960, directed by S. D. Lal. Satyanarayana played the role of a prince. Satyanarayana with his acting talent and mannerisms won the appreciation of all and people started praising him as Navarasa Natanaa Sarvabhouma.

He starred in over 750 films and he went on to serve as the jury member for South Region II at the 59th National Film Awards in 2012. He is the recipient of the 2011 Raghupathi Venkaiah Award and the 2017 Filmfare Award for lifetime achievement in Telugu cinema. He married  Nageswaramma on 10 April 1960. The couple has two daughters and two sons. He entered politics in 1996 and won from Machilipatnam on TDP ticket. Condolences are pouring in from all quarters.
