Nayanthara Is Out Promoting Her Film Connect

Nayanthara's latest horror film Connect is hitting screens worldwide on 22nd December. This is her second collaboration with Director Ashwin Saravanan after Maaya / Mayuri which is also a horror film that became a box office success in 2015. Nayanthara is also producing the film along with her husband Vignesh Shivan.

Director Ashwin Saravanan recently announced that the horror thriller Connect will have no interval break as it is of only 99-minute duration. This became a cause for concern for the theatre owners in Tamil Nadu. As canteen provides a major chunk in generating revenue for theatres, they demand an interval should be placed in the film. Makers of connect also said that the short duration of the film will help the theatres to accommodate more number of shows per day. But, the version of exhibitors is different. They expressed serious concerns over the movies timings would not be in sync with other movies timings those are being screened in the same complex. The makers are yet to respond about this issue. 

On the other hand, it is known that over the years Nayanthara didn't attended promotions for any film. It is a known fact that she states that during the agreement itself that she will not be a part of any promotional activity for the film. She didn't spoke a word to media about the film even while she was working with big stars like Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Vijay and Ajith. She made a personal policy for not attending movie promotions and events.

But, now for Connect film where she is also acting as a Producer she is coming out to promote the film. She even recorded an interview in Telugu with popular anchor Suma. What happened to no promotion policy ? Is it only applicable to other producers ? Everyone knows how a promotion will push the film closer to the audience. That too with film's main stars involving in active promotions, it will make a huge difference. Well if Nayanthara has changed her policy and will start attending promotions from Connect. It is well and good. If it is for her own production only. Then it is not fair Nayanthara. 

Connect is releasing in Telugu by popular production house UV Creations. The film already had its premier in Tamil and is receiving positive reports. Anupam Kher and Sathyaraj are also playing key roles in the film. The film is slated to release in Hindi as well.
