Jigarthanda 2 With Interesting Star Cast

Karthik Subbaraj directorial Jigarthanda 2 starring Siddharth, Lakshmi Menon and Bobby Simha was a big hit when it was released in 2014. Bobby Simha even bagged National Award for his performance. It was back then dubbed in Telugu and released in theatres with title Chikkadu Dorakadu. But no one paid heed to it due to poor promotions and it's non-native taking. It is then remade in Telugu as Gaddalakonda Ganesh starring Varun Tej and Atharva Murali. Director Harish Shankar made enough changes matching the local sensibilities and scored a success. It also went to Bollywood as Bachchan Pandey starring Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon. But it bombed at the boxoffice. 

Now after 8 Years Karthik Subbaraj is back again for the second part of his cult action gangster film titled it as Jigarthanda Double X. Now, the latest news is 'Jigarthanda 2' will start rolling in Madurai. Like the first part, the sequel will also be set in the Madurai backdrop, so the makers have decided to have the muhurat puja of the film in Madurai. The muhurat puja is to reportedly happen on December 11. Team is releasing a glimpse today evening at 6. The announcement poster features two guns indicating that it as the part 2. 

Jigarthanda Double X featuring Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah in lead roles, while Malayalam actress Nimisha Sajayan

will be seen as the female lead. The film will start shooting in Madurai and most part of the film is planned to be shot in Madurai and in some other locations in Tamil Nadu. It is yet to be known whether the Part 2 is a new subject or extension to the first part.
