Karthi Sardar movie In 100Cr club

Hero Karthi's latest film Sardar released for Diwali opened to positive reviews in Tamil Nadu. The film deals with the water mafia as a core point in the spy thriller genre. Kathi played dual roles as father-son and PS Mithran of Abhimanyudu fame directed this film. The film touches on interesting concepts and valid questions about the water business and caught the attention of audiences.

Sardar crossed Rs 100 crore mark at the box office worldwide and emerged as one of the highest-grossing Tamil films this year. Karthi's earlier film rural drama Viruman was released in August and grossed Rs 60 crores. Then his multistarrer Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 was released in September and emerged as an industry hit in Kollywood with a whopping Rs 490 Crores gross. Now with Sardar joining the elite 100 crore club, Karthi is having a very good year at the box office.

A sequel to Sardar, Sardar 2 was also announced by the makers with a new mission. The film was also released in Telugu but resulted in an average grosser. Sardar is Produced by Lakshman Kumar under Prince Pictures.
