Prabhas: From Tollywood to Pan World

Prabhas, a shy person reluctantly decided to enter Tollywood and slowly but steadily created a niche for himself with films like Varsham (2004),  Chatrapathi (2005), Bujjigadu (2008), Billa (2009), Darling (2010), Mr. Perfect (2011), and Mirchi (2013) after making his debut with Easwar In 2002. Mirchi turned him into a mass hero and Young Rebel Star though he is always lovingly addressed as Darling by all his fans.

Many felt that Mirchi set a tone for Prabhas to rule Tollywood. But Prabhas had different plans and when he allotted his full dates to Rajamouli's Baahubali, teaming up for the second time and deciding to invest his time, and energy and risk his career concentrating on just one film for more than 5 years everyone got a huge shock. People brand him mad but everyone knows that only mad people can create a sensation.

With the release of Baahubali, Prabhas conquered not just Tollywood but also the entire nation stealing the hearts of all. He created a sensation by becoming the pan India star and gained international recognition and face of the Indian cinema. Prabhas with Baahubali turned the top star in the industry. He got the rare honor of his films collecting thousands of crores. Prabhas from then on started doing pan-India projects and endeared himself to all with his down-to-earth and humble nature despite conquering the entire world. Prabhas with Saaho got the honor of getting the highest-grossing on debut in Bollywood.

Prabhas has pan India projects like Adi Purush, Salaar, Project K, Spirit, and Raja Deluxe. Prabhas with Project K, a sci-fi thriller is planning to become the pan world star. Prabhas has been featured in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list three times since 2015 based on his income and popularity. He has received seven Filmfare Awards South nominations and is a recipient of the Nandi Award and the SIIMA Award. Prabhas is also the brand ambassador for the Mahindra TUV300. Prabhas could have endorsed more brands but he rejected brand endorsements worth more than ₹150 crores till now. Prabhas got the rare honor when he became the first south Indian actor to receive a wax sculpture at Madame Tussaud's wax museum.

Prabhas is the only actor from south cinema to feature in the magazine Eastern Eye's 2019 listing of the 10 Sexiest Asian Men. He was also featured in the GQ in their listing of the most influential young Indians of 2017. In 2021, he has been named the ‘Most Handsome Asian Male’ in the Fancy Odds annual list. Prabhas is extremely philanthropic and came forward to donate generously for the right cause in September 2020, Prabhas adopted 1650 acres of land in Khazipally Reserve Forest and made additional donations for the development of the eco-park in the name of his late father.
