Ponniyin Selvan: Alanai Neekai song sends an ocean of love

Maniratnam's dream project Ponniyin Selvan part 1 is releasing on September 30. The makers are promoting the film in an extravagant manner and they released the song Alanai Neekai. Anant Sriram penned lyrics for the song for which music is composed by Rahman. 

Antara Nandy sang the song in a mellifluous way. The melody is shot in a beautiful way on Aishwarya Lekshmi who is playing the role of Poonguzhali, also known as Samuthirakumari, a boat woman living in Kodikarai. The film stars  Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Ashwin Kakumanu, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Parthiban, Rahman, Lal in crucial roles. 

Dil Raju is releasing the film in Telugu and the film is bankrolled on Lyca Productions. the film is based on the novel Ponniyin Selvan written by Kalki Krishnamurthy in 1955 for which the story are penned by  B.Jeyamohan and Elango Kumaravel along with Maniratham.
