Ponniyin Selvan trailer review

Maniratnam's Ponniyin Selvan is releasing on September 30,2022. The makers released the film's trailer in an extravagant event at Chennai. The trailer launch event was attended by superstars Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai.The film's Telugu trailer started with the voice over of Hot Hunk Rana. 

The trailer showed bad omen befalling on the Chola Kingdom with the fall of a comet and the various lead characters are shown in their intense and powerful roles with infighting erputing among the Cholas and enemies trying to take advantage of it. The visuals are extravagant and background music of Rahman made an impact. Cinematography of Ravi Varman is beautiful. 

The film stars Vikram, Karthi,Aishwarya Rai, Jayam Ravi,Trisha,Aiswarya Lakshmi,Ashwin Kakamanu in crucial roles. The film's story is penned by Maniratnam along with B.Jeyamohana nd Elango Kumaravel. The film is releasing in two parts and is based on the novel Ponniyin Selvan written by Kalki Krishnamurthy in 1955.
