In a shocking development, director Lingusamy who recently directed Ram's bilingual action entertainer The Warriorr faced harsh punishment from the Court. The Saidapet Court, directed cops to arrest Lingusamy after sentencing him to 6 months jail term. This was after Lingusamy and his brother Subash Chandra Bose failed to repay Rs 1.03crs to PVP. 

Lingusamy and his brother Subash Chandra Bose borrowed Rs 1.03crs from PVP Capital to produce the Tamil film 'Enni Ezhu Naal', which did not materialize. They also failed to return back the money following which a case was filed against Lingusamy

After hearing the case, the court sentenced Lingusamy to six months in jail. Lingusamy after the court verdict issued the following statement. "It is my responsibility to give clarity to the news that has been spreading around through various media channels. This case is between PVP Capital and our production house, Thirrupathi Brothers Film Media Private Limited. The Respected Court has given the judgment based on the case filed by PVP Capital. We, Thirrupathi Brothers, shall appeal against the judgment in the Court and take the case forward legally".
