South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) is extremely popular down south for recognizing and encouraging creative and innovative talent and honoring the work of the top actors, technicians, and makers. The stage is set for the SIIMA extravaganza once again. SIIMA completes decade-long celebrations and this year, the awards will be celebrated in style on September 10 and 11 at Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Already the nominations are out in various languages. From Telugu, Allu Arjun’s blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise- Part 01 received 12 nominations following Akhanda, which received 10 nominations and Uppena and Jathi Ratnalu, both of which received 8 nominations etc.
From Tamil, Dhanush starrer Karnan received 10 nominations. It was followed by Nelson Dilipkumar's directorial and Sivakarthikeyan starrer Doctor with 9 nominations. Actor Vijay’s Master and Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivii won 7 nominations each.
From Malayalam, Tovino Thomas starrer superhero film Minnal Murali won the highest nominations (10) among the Malayalam film, which was followed by Dulquer Salmaan’s crime thriller Kurup which received 8 nominations. Fahadh Faasil starrer Malik and Joji were nominated for 6 categories each.
Kannada language got Roberrt (10), Raj B. Shetty starrer Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana (8) and Yuvarathnaa with 7 nominations.
