Laal Singh Chaddha: Aamir tries to hoodwink, but fails

Mr.Perfectionist Aamir Khan's dream project Laal Singh Chadda directed by Advait Chandan which was released amidst huge expectations got a disastrous talk from the first show across the country. It is known that Aamir Khan faced huge negativity ahead of its release. Aamir Khan knew it and he tried to overcome it through various means.

He roped Naga Chaitanya for a role in the film and also managed to convince Chiranjeevi to get associated with the project. He showered praises on all the south actors, Vijay, Ajith, Chiranjeevi, Rajinikanth,Nagarjuna,Rajamouli and others. To top of it, he even tried to disassociate with his earlier statements made by his former wife Kiran Rao and which he sided with saying India is Insecure and he planned to move out of the country.

He asked people to forget all negativity and come to the theatres and watch the film and enjoy the experience the journey of Laal Singh Chaddha. Those who saw the film also felt that Aamir tried to mend bridges with the powers that be. In the film, he started off by showing the imposition of emergency by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and also her decision to send the army into the Golden Temple,Amritsar which was referred to as Operation BlueStar.

He played safe by not referring to the Gujarat Riots and also Babri Masjid demolition. Instead, he showed Mumbai riots in the aftermath of the Babri Masjid demolition. He showed PM Modi's current programs Swatch Bharat and other incidents and showed PM Modi and BJP in good light. He also showed that he received the award for his valor during the Kargil war during the BJP regime, with Vajpayee and Advani shown appreciating it. Despite all this, people did not fall for Aamir Khan's tricks.

However hard Aamir Khan tried to hoodwink, people did not buy his argument. They again criticized for showing the Indian army in poor light and Kareena Kapoor smirking when Aamir said he doesn't want to kill anyone. They also pointed out many discripancies in the story and blasting the makers for including Kargil war visa vis the Vietnam war in the original. They are also finding fault with Aamir Khan 's dialogue that he doesn't pray as his mother told him that prayers will result in Malaria (riots).
