Tollywood on Strike: Shoots to stop

In a shocking twist and sudden turn of events, Tollywood is set to go on strike, and film shootings are coming to a grounding halt from August 1, 2022. It is known that the producers' council met a couple of days back to resolve the contentious issues faced by them but it ended in an inconclusive manner. The producers' council planned to resolve the issues pertaining to OTTs but failed to do so. 

In order to resolve their problems, the association announced that they have decided to go on strike from August 1. In a press release, Active Telugu Film Producers Guild revealed that due to increasing costs and changing revenue conditions, they have voluntarily decided to withhold the shootings from August 1st until an amicable solution is found. 

They said it is essential to better the ecosystem and ensure that the films be released in a healthy environment.
