What's Behind

Telugu web series Parampara with Jagapathi Babu, Sarath Kumar, and Naveen Chandra in the lead under Krishan Vijay L and Viswanath Arigela's direction generated interest among the viewers. The organizers came up with the second season of Parampara 2. which is getting streamed on Disney Plus Hotstar. Let us see what Parampara 2 offered to the viewers.

Story Review

Gopi (Naveen Chandra) gets a huge shock for using the unlicensed revolver. Nagendra Naidu (Sarath Kumar) promises to bring Gopi back but puts a condition to Mohan Rao (Jagapathi Babu). Gopi gets into contact with senior IAS officer Ratnakar (Ravi Varma). Even as Gopi comes out of jail, he finds new shocks in form of his mother Bhanumati (Aamani). where this leads to and how the developments are connected to Rachana (Akansha Singh), Jenny (Naina Ganguly), Satyam (Rajsekhar Anigi), Bhanumati (Aamani), Suresh (Ishaan) should be found out watching Parampara 2.

Artists, Technicians Review

Since Parampara 2 is the continuation of Parampara, one should watch Parampara. Compared to the first season, there are fewer episodes and also the duration of each episode is less. Krishan Vijay L and Viswanath Arigela continued from where they ended Parampara. The surprise through Naveen Chandra's character shows that he toned down his violent and aggressive ways and take on his opponents with his clever strategies. The first two episodes are quite slow. From the third episode the narration picks up the pace and the final episode keeps all glued. However, the director duo left many loopholes and came up with illogical scenes. The screenplay went topsy turvy to put off viewers. The story doesn't interest anyone and one gets a feeling that everyone is passing through the motions. Had the makers paid attention to these things, Parampara 2 would have generated more interest.

Krishna Vijay and Hari Eleti's dialogues are good. Those who did not watch the first season cannot make head or tail of it. Though the narration is ok, as such films and stories in the political backdrop came earlier, viewers will find it extremely routine. SV. Vishweswar showed the 90s atmosphere and backdrop in a captivating manner using his camera angles. Naresh Kumaran's background score is in sync with the storyline. The editing of Tammi Raju could have been far better. Production values are good.

Naveen Chandra performed well and showed intensity. Jagapathi Babu made his presence felt but the role is routine and tailormade for him. Sarath Kumar looked stylish and showed his prowess. But dubbing for his role did not make an impact. Akanksha Singh did not get much scope to show her expressions unlike in the first season. Ravi Varma and Bigg Boss Divi appeared in the second season. Ravi Varma performed well but Divi got an inconsequential role. Kasturi for all the initial importance was sidelined completely. Others like Aamani Teja Kakumanu, Surya, Divi Vadthya, and Kedar Shankar performed accordingly.

Advantages

Naveen Chandra

Cinematography

Disadvantages

Editing

Slow pace

Illogical scenes

Predictable narration

Rating Analysis

Parampara 2, the second season of Parampara fares better than the first season. Viewers who watched both the seasons agree with the same. However those who watched only the second season find it just ok. The makers ended the season 2 with a lead for season 3. Though the makers reduced the duration of each episode, they offered nothing interesting and the slow pace and the drags ends up testing the patience of the viewers. Considering all these elements, CJ goes with a 2.25 rating for Parampara 2.
