Hot Hunk to finally power Maanaadu remake

For quite some time-intense speculation happened as to who will star in the remake of the Kollywood thriller Maanaadu. Since Suresh Productions has acquired the remake rights of the film for all languages, many speculated as to who among Rana and Naga Chaitanya will star in the remake. In between the name of Abhiram also cropped up. 

Even the talk of Suresh Productions shelving the project also spread at times. In the midst of all this, it is coming out that Hot Hunk Rana will power the remake. Naga Chaitanya who is promoting his film Thank You which is releasing on July 22, speaking to scribes revealed that Rana will be starring in the remake. Apart from it, he did not divulge any other information. 

Maanaadu starred Simbu in the lead while SJ Suriah played an important role. The film showcased the thrilling incidents that happened in a time loop between an NRI played by Simbu and DCP Dhanushkodi played by Suriah.
