Star director contracts covid

The deadly corona virus pandemic is yet to be eradicated completely. Though the country overcame three covid waves and people of the country have taken the booster doses, many are getting affected by covid. According to the latest, star director Maniratnam contracted covid and he got admitted in a hospital. 

According to sources, Maniratnam was not feeling well for the last few days and when he got tested, he found that he got covid positive. A source shared “He has been hospitalised to isolate himself as he has parents who are aged above 90," 

Following this, Maniratnam got admitted in Apollo  Hospitals, Chennai and currently doctors are treating him. Maniratnam is currently busy with his dream project Ponniyin Selvan, the first part of which is racing for a spectacular release on September 30. Ponniyin Selvan stars  Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Jayaram, Aishwarya Lekshmi, R. Sarathkumar and Sobhita Dhulipala in important roles.
