Ponniyin Selvan teaser review

Maniratnam's dream project Ponniyin Selvan has been the cynosure of one and all. The film is slated for a spectacular release on September 30, 2022. The makers today released the film's trailer. While Mahesh Babu released the film's Telugu version teaser,  Suriya, Amitabh Bachchan, Mohanlal, and Rakshit Shetty released the film's Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada version teasers. 

Mahesh Babu releasing the film's trailer posted "From one of my favorite directors... #ManiRatnam sir! Thrilled to launch the Telugu teaser of #PonniyinSelvan1. Really looking forward to the film!" The teaser is loaded with intense action and emotional elements highlighting the developments in the Chola Kingdom. 

Visuals are extravagant and the background score by Rahman created a powerful impact. The film stars Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Ashwin Kakamanu in pivotal roles. Expectations are increasing for the film after the teaser release.  It is the first of two cinematic parts based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 novel Ponniyin Selvan.  Mani Ratnam, under his production studio Madras Talkies, along with Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions are bankrolling the project.
