Bollywood star Akshay Kumar's historical entertainer Samrat Prithviraj directed by Chandraprakash Diwedi hit the screens on June 3, 2022. The film is looking for a big push in the coming days to sustain at the box office. The film's collections are disappointing and after the poor first-day openings at the box office, the film witnessed limited growth on Day 2.
While metros which contribute a major chunk of revenue remained low, mass circuits witnessed improvement in collections. However, a big push on Day 3 is a must for a healthy weekend total. The film's collections till now are Fri 10.70 cr, Sat 12.60 cr. Total: ₹ 23.30 cr.
The film marked the debut of Miss World Manushi Chillar as Princess Samyogita while Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood played important roles. The film is based on Prithviraj Raso, a Braj language epic poem, and is produced by Yash Raj Films.
