Artists, Technicians Review

Anil Ravipudi started F3 inspired by the success of F2. He included the entire cast of F2 and roped in a few new players to thrill viewers. The film is not a sequel for F2 but has few similarities. Anil Ravipudi as is his wont concentrated on creating more fun rather than come with a strong story. Thus F3 offered more fun, hilarious, and comedy scenes and they turned out to be wafer-thin and extremely weak. He with the weaknesses of the lead characters, like night-blindness and stammer, managed to generate fun by attributing unique mannerisms. Apart from it, he roped in hot actresses to cater to the needs of the commercial requirements. The entire first half highlighted the introduction and establishment of new characters, and only during the interval, the story pick up the pace.

Right through the second half, Anil Ravipudi after establishing the characters concentrated on generating fun around them. Though all the scenes are illogical and out of sync, he managed to create laughter through various characters irrespective of the monotony that crept in. Finally, the story ends on a silly note with routine outdated and silly pre-climax and climax scenes. Despite all the flaws, Anil Ravipudi elevated the comedy angle in Venkatesh and Varun Tej, and the way he used spoofs from various films and, on multiple stars thoroughly entertained and thrilled movie lovers.

Venkatesh, known for his versatile performances, carried the film on his shoulders. He cast a magic spell mesmerizing all with his mannerisms, body language, and expressions. Venkatesh turned out to be the livewire for the film and powered F3 to another height. Venkatesh who created a niche for himself with Venky Asan in F2 took off from there and he delighted all with his trademark expressions and dialogues.

Varun Tej who is selecting different genre roles made an impression by doing out and out comedy roles in F3. He worked hard on his unique mannerisms and performed well working on his dialogue delivery. He matched Venkatesh complimenting him and the duo rocked on the screen creating a laughing riot.

Tamanaah and Mehreen appeared as the female leads. They oozed with glamor and sizzled redhot in songs. However compared to F2, they paled in their looks. Sonal Chauhan sizzled in a special role and Pooja Hegde attracted with her moves in the special song providing a glamor treat. Murali Sharma, and Sampath Raj performed well while Rajendra Prasad once again impressed with his unique performance. Sunil, Ali and Vennela Kishore attracted with their comedy. Raghu Babu did their bit to entertain movie lovers. Others like Tulasi,Satya,Jhansi,Pragati,Y.Vijaya, Annapurna, Srikanth Iyengar performed accordingly.

Devi Sri Prasad came up with foot tapping music and all the songs are loaded with mass elements and well shot. His BGM is good but could have been better. The cinematography of Sai Sriram is colorful. The editing of Tammiraju could have been better as there are a few scenes that dragged the film. Production values are good.

Rating Analysis

Anil Ravipudi after the success of F2 where he highlighted the psychology of women and marriage, this time decided to increase the fun quotient. He worked on the loopholes of F2 where the second half took a beating due to routine scenes after the entertaining first half. So for F3, he decided to balance both halves and as such loaded the entire film with comedy scenes irrespective of whether they are routine or not. He believed that movie lovers look only for entertainment and will not look at the logic behind it. So the story turned out to be weak and so there is nothing much to talk about the screenplay and direction. Anil Ravipudi through F3 offered over the top, out and out humor with Venkatesh and Varun Tej, no holds barred glamor treat from Tamannaah, Mehreen, Sonal Chauhan, and Pooja Hegde turning it out to be a complete hilarious commercial entertainer. Considering all these points, CJ goes with a 3 rating for F3.
