The screening of Rajasekhar's Shekar film was stalled following the orders by The City Civil court, Hyderabad. It is known that the Court directed Jeevitha to deposit Rs 65 lakhs as a security deposit in court in 48 hours before 4.30 PM, Sunday couple of days back after hearing the complaint filed by a financier named A. Parandhama Reddy.

As the producer and director Jeevitha Rajasekhar failed to pay the deposit, Court passed orders stalling the film's screening in any format. Rajasekhar sharing his feelings posted “Shekar Is everything for me and my family. We worked very hard to bring this film to the audience. Just out of spite, some people have conspired and stopped our film from screening. Cinema is our life, this film especially was our hope.. I’ve run out of things to say. | can only hope that this film will eventually get the visibility and appreciation that it truly deserves”
