Saina Teaser: Intense

The much awaited Saina teaser is out. Parineeti Chopra essaying the role of ace badminton player Saina Nehwal has the teaser with hard-hitting dialogues and intense performance. Sharing the teaser, The Girl on the Train added that trailer will be out soon.

Saina teaser over one-minute begins with Parineeti saying how the nation with half of the population with girl child is left to learn household chores while boys are encouraged to pursue dreams. But she continues saying, "Lekin mere saath aisa nahi hua, karchi-tawe ke badle mein pakdi maine talwar (I picked up sword in place of pan and ladle)."

The teaser than chronicles Saina’s journey from childhood to her achievements and the hurdles than came in between her dreams.  The film was previously had Sharddha Kapoor but then replaced by Parineeti, who said, "She’s right! Har film ki apni kismat hoti hai. I remember being over the moon after reading just five pages of the script. I met the director Amole Gupte. I wanted to do it, but things didn’t materialise then. Shraddha is a dear friend and we often discussed how she was doing my film. It's sheer luck that it came back to me."

Directed by Amole Gupte, Saina is set for release on Mach 26.
