Will Srinivasa Kalyanam Promise That?

Nitin, Raashi Khanna, Nandita Swetha’s Srinivasa Kalyanam directed by Satish Vegesna is slated for a grand release on Aug 9. Expectations are soaring on the film produced in a prestigious manner by Dil Raju.

The makers attracted the attention of all by promoting the film in a unique manner. While the makers presented sweet boxes during the audio launch, they are now getting ready to present new dresses for to be married couple who send their wedding invitations.

Aug 9th the release date of the film is special for Dil Raju as he created a sensation with Bommarillu which released on the same day, 12 years back. Dil Raju is claiming that Srinivasa Kalyanam will recreate the magic of Bommarillu.

During the release of Mahanati, which released on May 9th, similar sentiment worked out for the makers. Viyjayanti Movies released the film on the same day when their blockbuster film Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari hit the screens. However with Dil Raju promoting Srinivasa Kalyanam as another Bommarillu, many are under the impression that he is banking on Bommarillu sentiment than the content of Srinivasa Kalyanam.

Both the films cannot be compared as Bommarillu is a youthful entertainer while Srinivasa Kalyanam is a family entertainer. One cannot expect Nitin and Raashi Khanna to recreate the magic in Srinivasa Kalyanam like Siddharth and Genelia in Bommarillu, as Srinivasa Kalyanam is all about marriage and it looked like the makers have taken a video of a marriage. Unless until they come up with something interesting, Srinivasa Kalyanam is another routine family entertainer.
