Mohanlal Confused As Mohan Babu

Director Nag Ashwin and his Mahanati movie producers roped in prominent faces to play legendary actors and filmmakers in Savitri’s biopic Mahanati which is running successfully in its second week. However, as per reliable sources, Mohan Babu was not the original choice to play the role of SV Ranga Rao.

It is learnt that, the writing and direction team suggested Malayalam superstar Mohanlal to portray SV Ranga Rao. Nonetheless, producer Ashwini Dutt was misunderstood and contacted Mohan Babu for the role. After Mohan Babu accepted to be part of the film, they didn’t dare to replace him. That’s how Mohan Babu got the opportunity to play the crucial role in Mahanati.

Those who knew this news say Mohanlal would be perfect choice for SV Ranga Rao’s role, though Mohan Babu too could convince in the challenging role.

Mohan Babu who is selectively doing films of late is said to have paid huge amount as remuneration for Mahanati. The actor indeed was not keen about salary, but producer Ashwini Dutt wanted to pay each and every actor and technician worked for Mahanati what they really deserve!
