Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming entertainer Kala directed by PA.Ranjith is generating tremendous interest among movie lovers. Rajini is playing a powerful gang leader and is romancing Bollywood beauty Huma Qureshi in the film. Makers of the film are getting ready to celebrate the audio launch on May 9th. 

In the meantime many are wondering why Anand Mahindra, CEO of Mahindra Group is getting super excited with Kala. It is known that the stylish poster of Kaala in which Rajini was seen sitting in a stylish manner on Mahindra's Thar vehicle is going viral on social media. 

Anand Mahindra, after watching the poster, got excited and offered to buy the SUV used by Rajini from the makers. He posted "When the legend @superstarrajini uses a car as a throne, it becomes a legend #Thar. Whoever knows the whereabouts of the #Thar used for this shoot please let us know. I’d like to acquire it for our company auto museum”.

Kaala will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. The film was earlier scheduled to be released on April 27th but was postponed to June due to the standoff between Nadigar Sangam and Digital Service Providers on the increase of VPF charges along with the 2018 Tamil Nadu protests for Kaveri water sharing issue which also led to the delay in release of other Tamil movies.

The satellite rights of the film was sold to the Star Group Network for a whopping 75 crore.
