The scarce star

Is choosy, suave Siddharth missing? After the great screen success of Rang De Basanti, the Telugu super star will soon have his second release in Hindi.Similarly, people who have visited his Nuvostanante Ne Vodantana asked the same question over and over again as to why he is so scarce! Siddharth has been answering questions of his disappearance from Hindi films as he doesn’t want anything mediocre or average. Siddharth has acted in nine films in the past nine years.

’’I’ve invested a lot in Striker and I would like to tell my fans to come for this film with not just high but very high expectations,” emphasized the actor.Being released this week, Striker is all about carom and dares to release in an industry where many sport films are centred around cricket, but Siddharth knows that everybody in their childhood at least, has played carom.

Also, this film is about the game on a very basic level, otherwise, it is the story of an underdog, a story of the triumph of the human spirit over odds,” says Siddharth. Siddharth also bagged a Best Actor trophy earlier. He has acted under the direction of  Mani Ratnam too. Siddharth looks forward to Striker  with hope. ‘‘It is my best performance so far,’’ claims Siddharth.
