Yes, in what can be called as a biggest ever satellite rights deal in Indian cinema, ‘2.0’ TV rights are sold at an unbelievable price of Rs.110 Crores to Zee TV. The deal includes satellite rights of Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages.
‘2.0’ is made on a massive Rs. 350 Crores budget by Lyca Productions with Bollywood star hero Akshay Kumar playing the antagonist and Amy Jackson as glamorous heroine. At any cost, ‘2.0’ is the expensive assignment ever experimented on Indian screen and when Rajini is leading from front, the officially announced satellite deal is worthwhile.
Noted technicians from Hollywood are working relentlessly in carving this visual wonder. As shooting is almost completed and post production works are in parallel progress, ‘2.0’ is all likely to hit the screens as Diwali special gift.
