From Pawan to Rajini Sir to Mammootty Sir

That’s how Bollywood is looking at South cinema with utmost respect and high regard for the quality of content and technical standards maintained in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam industry. Definitely true, last few years South Indian cinema made huge strides pushing back Bollywood by miles. The same opinion of course sounded in Kareena Kapoor’s words at a pre launch event of Sony BBC Earth Television channel.

For beginners, Kareena Kapoor will be the face of Sony BBC Earth. This will be the premium factual entertainment channel jointly collaborated by Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) and UK pub-caster BBC’s commercial arm BBC Worldwide. Channel will go live in India from March 6 at 8 PM.

At the pre launch program, ‘I respect all South films for such great content and great actors like Pawan Kalyan to Rajinikanth sir to Mammootty sir, so many people who have done enormous work. They all do different content, whether it’s Tamil or Malayalam or Telugu or any language. But, I don’t under the language. So, if I don’t understand the language, connectivity goes missing. That’s the only problem stopping me from doing South films,’ Kareena Kapoor said.
