CBFC Asks for Disclaimer to Sarkar 3 Trailer

'Sarkar 3,’ the most powerful outing by Amitabh Bachchan in Ram Gopal Varma direction is into last stages of production and post production. Right from ‘Sarkar’ in 2005, there are parallels drawn between Subhash Nagre character and Late Bal Thackeray. The same was continued for 2008 released ‘Sarkar Raj’ and now for ‘Sarkar 3,’ Censor Board sprung into action informing the makers to put a disclaimer for trailer.

Disclaimer like, 'all characters and story in the film bear no resemblance to any person living or dead and any similarity is purely coincidental' is displayed only in movies and promos, trailers are spared. For the first time, CBFC asked RGV to keep a disclaimer before beginning the trailer.

Reason is quite obvious. ‘Sarkar 3’ trailer scenes and dialogues have uncanny resemblance with Bal Thackeray’s family. Before the trailer ignites any unforeseen controversies in Mumbai, on a safety note CBFC deemed the disclaimer essential. RGV reacted positively to the appeal from CBFC understanding the board’s cautiousness in case someone raises an issue.
