‘Gauthami Puthra Satakarni’ hasn’t got a storyline. Yes, Nandamuri Balakrishna agreed to a wide spread and accepted fact that director Krish made the film without a proper story although cashed on the very basic sentiment, the Unsung Story of Telugu Warrior Emperor. More than emotional highs and drama scenes, major narration was concentrated on war episodes which led to dissatisfaction among one section of audience.
Releasing in Sankranti season has been the biggest advantage and the magnum opus is re-writing Balayya’s best Box Office records. Speaking on a TV channel show, Balakrishna openly accepted that GPS hasn’t got any storyline.
‘Yes, we did not have much story in ‘Gauthami Puthra Satakarni’ but managed to pull off a successful film. Now when people are demanding for a sequel ‘Vasishti Puthra Pulamayi,’ where should we get the story and script from,’ Balakrishna expressed serious concern about falling short of solid material for both GPS and VPP.
