Why Such High Demand For Oopiri?

‘Oopiri’ from Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamanna in Vamsy Paidipally direction, produced by Prasad V Potluri is all set to release in theaters tomorrow. Remade from a super hit French film, there is enormous positive buzz surrounding this project from the moment it was initiated and then the promotional stuff is also cheered by Telugu cinema lovers. Why is such high market demand for ‘Oopiri’?   

There was a time when Telugu movie goers used to encourage only formulae based, commercial entertainers with routine heroism. It was Akkineni Nagarjuna broke this trend by experimenting on new directors and innovative scripts. When we speak of versatility and daring approach towards setting the new benchmarks, Nagarjuna is the first name which rings in our thoughts. 

Of late, ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ and ‘Manam’ exhibited Nagarjuna’s ingenious touch succeeding in Box Office terms. Apparently, a star hero sticking to wheel chair in a full length paraplegic characterization is a rare occurrence for our Tollywood. Thank god, the changed mindset of our audience is ably noticed in ‘Oopiri’ completing an awesome pre release business. Let’s wait for few more hours to enjoy Nag and Karthi on big screens.
