The End For Remake Rumors

‘Jilla’ stood as a sensational hit of Kollywood entering into 50 Crores club last year. From then on, there were plenty of rumors on Tollywood top stars are showing the interest in working for a Telugu remake. While no one has still bagged the remake rights, the names of Jr NTR, Balakrishna or Kalyanram, Balakrishna are on top to comprise the Vijay, Mohal Lal characters.

Finally, all these speculations can be put to rest because there is nothing like a remake as Tamil to Telugu dubbing release is on the cards. ‘Jilla’ is a commercial mass maala family entertainer with performances from two main male leads stood as central attraction. Director Neason is appreciated by Fans of both Vijay and Mohan Lal for presenting their heroes in superb look.

However, neither Vijay nor Mohan Lal enjoys big market in Telugu. Yet, producer RB Chowdary has decided to go for a dubbing release rather than remaking the same with Telugu stars. This one could be a risky decision. Except few of the added comic scenes shot on Brahmanandam, LB Sriram and Surekha Vani; there can be nothing extra ordinary in Telugu flavor.
