Behind the Movie Beeruva: Hero Sundeep Kishan is slowly developing a peculiar image accepted this uniquely titled film only because of a novel concept and screenplay from Kanmani. With senior Naresh, Surabhi and other artists in main leads, let us see there are how many surprises inside the ‘Beeruva’?

In the Movie Beeruva: Story begins with introduction of Ajay (Ajay), a growing politician maintaining an illegal relation with Deepu (Anisha Singh). As it is time for Ajay to grow big in life by marrying a big wig’s daughter, he bids good bye to Deepu by throwing her a lot of wealth. Deepu buys a Beeruva during shopping spree. When she opens this Beeruva, surprisingly Sanju (Sundeep Kishan) comes out to narrate his flashback.

Sanju is a spoilt son of rich businessman Surya Narayana (Naresh), who faces many troubles with son. Sanju falls in love with a politically influential person Adi Keshavulu (Mukesh Rishi)’s daughter Swathi (Surabhi). Facing problems in business, Surya Narayana and Sanju go for a help before Adi Keshavulu from where Sanju elopes with Swathi. How and when did Sanju hide in Beeruva? Where is Swathi? What is connection between Swathi and Ajay? What happened to Deepu? All these form rest.

Values and Out of the Movie Beeruva: Naming a film with unusual title might not be enough because a director has to live to the very purpose of it. Story, screenplay and direction of Kanmani are a big letdown. Although the film looked quite particular and separate during the pre release promotions, it is strictly not so. Definitely, there were few many good moments in the film showcased Kanmani’s abilities as a good director but the overall show he kept before audience is pathetically routine and boring. Screenplay was lagging with plenty of dullness added. Direction wise, Kanmani succeeded to an extent by generating funny moments. However, it’s the overall opinion matters most. Lifeline for ‘Beeruva’ is decent camera work from Chota K Naidu who has thrown a lavish grandeur on screen with in shoe string budget. Goutham Raju editing is unimposing with 135 plus minutes of movie being looked as dragged and extended with no purpose. Music by SS Thaman is also an average work while BGM was appreciative. Production values of Anandi Art Creations and Ushakiran Movies are moderate.

On performance front, Sundeep Kishan did his best. He is improving with each film and this one is one among them. His comic timing is yet again the show stealer. Heroine Surabhi is looking good. Anisha Singh was a bit hot. Major credits among the artists should go to Senior Naresh and Sapthagiri. Scenes where in these two are present stood as laugh worthy. Although Sapthagiri enters late into film, he drives on from there smoothly generating enough humor. Mukesh Rishi, Anitha Chowdary, Ajay and others did their portions.

‘Beeruva’ could have been a laughter riot if Kanmani scripted the film with unseen and new kind of stuff. A concept which promises more has fallen flat with unrealistically low scope. Adding more to our woes, Kanmani forcibly joined few songs and action episode which tormented the patience. Instead of closing second half crispier, director dragged the climax episodes damaging the output further. Screenplay was also quite predictable. So, except the neat work of Chota K Naidu there is nothing special to mention about.

Overall, ‘Beeruva’ is a failed attempt. Although the idea of revolving story around ‘Beeruva’ is good, the innovative touch which is key hole to open the doors of success did not happen so. Commercially, this is highly doubtful in all centers.

Cinejosh Verdict of Beeruva: This is ‘Boru’va.
