Generally, producers and distributors vie for a Friday or Thursday release of their movie because performance by completion of first Weekend will decide their commercial fate. This is a formula followed conventionally. One director who follows the different approach is Maruthi of ‘Ee Rojullo’ fame. Yes, his last film of ‘Bus Stop’ was released on a Sunday shocking the trade analysts. Luckily, movie got off with a positive report and declared a hit later on.

Following the same Sunday sentiment, Maruthi is planning the release of ‘Prema Katha Chithram’ of Sudheer Babu and Nanditha for a coming Sunday dated as June 9th. This is a new business technique and meanwhile, there are ‘Iddarammayilatho, Intinta Annamayya, Action 3D’ in release list. Let us see, how far ‘PKC’ will compete with all these.
