Being hailed as an undefeated director, ‘Eega’ was a distinguished project not only for SS Rajamouli but also for entire Telugu film industry to showcase our technical expertise and our command in attempting different genre of films. Finally, ‘Eega’ arrived in theatres and here is the first talk from our sources in Chennai who watched the Tamil version. Perhaps, movies like ‘Eega’ and ‘Naan Ee’ can’t be distinguished on language terms because Jakkanna is more of an Emotions Based Director who can appeal the audience of any language equally.
So, here is the first talk. ‘Eega’ is completely a visual feast with breathtaking thrills. Although movie begins with a simple love story, it takes known turns and twists finally shaping into a revenge drama which is said animatedly by Rajamouli well supported with his cast of antagonist Sudeep and the Lively Animated ‘Eega.’ Romance between Nani and Sam which comes in the first half is refreshing with good dose of humor. Rajamouli follows his god father Raghavendra Rao in following the correct mix of humor, glamour, comedy, action, sentiment and of course lovely emotions. ‘Eega’ is told to have got an imbalance in the blend but only to give you a more right result. Keeravani is always reliable and he never lets us down (especially Rajamouli). As any film can’t be deprived of small mistakes here and there, ‘Eega’ is getting the early verdict of a perfect fantasy entertainer that is going to attract all the classes of audience equally. Let us see, how far this kind of a judgment will help the BO to flourish.
