Hero Nikhil Arrested in Cheating Case

A cheating case is registered against Nikhil Reddy, producer and Hero of a Hindi Film ‘The Angrez.’ He has been taken into Police custody based on the complaint registered by a financier Vasant Kumar Goud in Naryanaguda PS. The case was regarding the Rs. 50 Lakhs cheque issued by Nikhil Reddy was not honored by the bank due to lack of funds. When Goud approached Nikhil, he threatened the financier with guns. Nikhil was earlier charged on similar grounds in Nellore.

Nikhil was picked up from his residence at Diamond Point, Secunderabad on sections 420 (cheating) and 506 (threatening) of the Indian Penal Code. As per financier Vasant, the amount was taken by Nikhil for making a sequel for ‘The Angrez’ which did not happen and even the post dated cheques issued were bounced.
