Behind the Movie Nuvva Nena: The surprising combination of Allari Naresh, Sharwanand and Shriya Saran came before us today. Audience has built some good expectations on this flick due to this combination factor. Let us see, how far they succeeded in raising some laughs?

In the Movie Nuvva Nena: Story begins in Amalapuram where a small time pick-pocketing thief Avinash (Allari Naresh) and his cousin Chanti (Ali) cheat Local Inspector to run away with cash to Hyderabad. Here Avinash falls instantly in love with Dr. Nandini (Shriya). On the other side, Anand (Sharwanand) suffering with a typical phobia gets admitted as patient to Nandini. In no time, Avinash comes to know that even Anand loves Nandini and game begins between the two. When both give their level best to impress her, in middle comes local goon Aaku Bhai (Brahmi) who is also in love with Nandini. How did story take various twists and turns with Aaku Bhai marrying Nandini’s nurse (Kovai Sarala) and Avinash, Anand given a shocker with introduction of new character in Nandini’s life forms the rest.

Values of the Movie Nuvva Nena: Best part of flick is the pace of narration which director Narayana has succeeded in. Story and scenes move so fast that one finds hard to think on logics and common sense. Screenplay is although quite a familiar one, it never got bored. Dialogues by Surya raised situational laughter. Camera wok by Dasarathi Shivendra was good by any standards for the budget given. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh was sharp sustaining the humor. Songs composed by Bheems were ‘Surrr….’ and loud. Background by Mani Sharma is regular. Production wise, SVK cinema has got a safe product on their hand.

Performance wise, Allari Naresh was at his best as usual with simple timing of comic punches. Sharwanand was decent giving a good fight. Even Ali has supported well sharing the maximum of screen time with Naresh. Next to speak is about Shriya who didn’t get a role of performance orientation. Most of the time, her glamour is highlighted offering a meaty feast of her curves. Brahmanandam isn’t that different but just ok with Kovai Sarala. Of the remaining Vimala Raman was spicy in item song while Srinivas Reddy, Narsing Yadav and other star cast has done their part.

Out of the Movie Nuvva Nena: Story is basically inspired from David Dhawan’s ‘Deewana Mastana’ of Bollywood. Director Narayana has the knack of where to extend a scene and where to cut it short. He packed up the movie as a mere 2 hour entertainer without troubling viewers with unnecessary prolongations. This is in fact, a run of the mill subject with two guys running behind a girl and girl finding third one in the end. Nothing much contrasting as both first and second halves are equally competitive.

In short, ‘Nuvva Nena’ has nothing new to offer. It is a story told innumerable times by various directors in different approaches. Director Narayana has just caught the best among them and got it compiled together. He has done a satisfactory job which will be liked both by front benchers and balcony. Of course, films like these will have only short life and nothing to worry as producers are most possibly to lie on safe side. Shriya’s sex appeal will be a bonus for audience.

Cinejosh Verdict of the Movie Nuvva Nena: A Crispy Time Pass Entertainer.
