Strange are the ways in film land. One enters into the glam field with a hope to excel in one department but end up in another. That is what we call the Theory of Struggle for Existence. Some examples are, D. Rama Naidu came to industry to become an actor but ended up as a successful producer. In B-town, Kishore Kumar dreamed of becoming an actor but made mark as a singer. Same applies to our Mani Sharma, who started his career by providing background music has shifted to mainline music and latest of his releases is ‘Rachcha.’
However as things stand, Mani is shifting back to square one and is going just for background scorings for whatever reasons. He provided BG for ‘Oh My Friend’ and is on the same job for the forthcoming ‘Nuvva Nena.’ The lifeline and golden rule in the industry is to be busy, whatever you are doing. Looks like Mani is following this rule faithfully.
