SS Rajamouli Praises Ramayana Trailer
Master Filmmaker SS Rajamouli has praised the team behind Ramayana after the latest trailer generated excitement among moviegoers. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the ambitious mythological epic stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 5, 2026.
Rajamouli described Ramayana as a story that Indian filmmakers grow up hoping to tell. He appreciated Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra for bringing the epic to the screen on a grand scale, while praising the cast for portraying its timeless characters. His remarks have added to the growing anticipation.
The latest trailer highlights the conflict between Dharma and Adharma, presenting Lord Rama as a symbol of righteousness and Ravana as a formidable adversary. Yash plays Ravana, while Ravi Dubey portrays Lakshmana and Sunny Deol appears as Hanuman. The improved visual effects have also attracted attention following criticism of the earlier promotional footage.
Produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash, Ramayana: Part One features an ensemble cast including Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh in significant roles. Backed by Prime Focus Studios and Monster Mind Creations, the film aims to bring the ancient epic to a global audience.
