Jailer Looking At 120 Crore Opening

Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 has reportedly crossed ₹72 crore in worldwide advance bookings, making it one of the most anticipated Tamil releases of 2026. According to trade estimates ahead of its October 15 release, the film’s strong pre sales have raised expectations of a worldwide opening near ₹120 crore.
Tamil Nadu leads the reported domestic advance sales with ₹13.73 crore, followed by Karnataka at ₹8.93 crore and Kerala at ₹7.26 crore. Telangana has contributed ₹3.71 crore, while Andhra Pradesh stands at ₹2.91 crore. Combined all India pre sales are estimated at ₹38.62 crore, with overseas bookings adding significant momentum.
Overseas markets have reportedly generated more than $3.5 million in advance sales, including strong demand in North America. The figures suggest that Rajinikanth’s popularity continues to draw audiences across major markets. However, advance booking totals can vary between trade trackers, and final collections will depend on ticket sales and reporting methods.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 brings Rajinikanth back as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the music. The 2023 original became a major commercial success, and the sequel faces considerable expectations.
