Drishyam The Conclusion Opens to a Massive Box Office Response

Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam: The Conclusion has delivered a powerful opening at the Indian box office, collecting ₹66.75 crore net and around ₹77 crore gross on Day 1. Released on Gandhi Jayanti, the Abhishek Pathak directed thriller benefited from the national holiday and strong franchise anticipation.

The third and final Hindi chapter brings Ajay Devgn back as Vijay Salgaonkar, alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran and Jaideep Ahlawat. Strong advance bookings had already indicated substantial audience interest, with pre release domestic bookings crossing ₹50 crore. The film has subsequently emerged as Devgn’s biggest opening day performer.

The opening also reflects the enduring popularity of the Drishyam franchise, which has built a loyal audience around Vijay’s efforts to protect his family. However, comparisons with Jawan and Pushpa 2 require context: Jawan opened at ₹65.50 crore net in Hindi, while Pushpa 2 set the Hindi benchmark with ₹72 crore net.

With strong audience reactions reported after release, the coming weekend will determine whether Drishyam: The Conclusion can maintain its exceptional momentum. Trade estimates had earlier suggested a potentially ₹300 crore plus domestic lifetime, although actual collections will depend on weekday holds, audience word of mouth and competition.
