Ajay Devgn Griha Pravesh Gets New Title As Suryasparsh
Ajay Devgn’s upcoming supernatural thriller, earlier reported under the working title Griha Pravesh, has officially been titled Suryasparsh. Directed by Rohit Jugraj, the film is inspired by the Garuda Purana and is expected to explore a mysterious world combining supernatural elements, suspense and moral complexity.
The project went on floors on September 2 and is scheduled to continue shooting through November. Ajay Devgn is reportedly set to portray a supernatural and morally ambiguous character, marking a return to a darker shade of his screen persona years after Kaal. The makers are targeting a theatrical release in the second half of 2027.
Rohit Jugraj has developed the film around material inspired by Veda Vyasa’s Garuda Purana, an ancient Sanskrit text associated with a dialogue between Lord Vishnu and Garuda. Rather than relying solely on conventional horror, the narrative is expected to build suspense through mystery, supernatural themes and questions surrounding morality and human choices.
Suryasparsh reunites Ajay Devgn with Panorama Studios’ Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, alongside Devgn Films. Their collaboration has previously produced films including Drishyam, Raid and Shaitaan. With the title now locked and production underway, the Ajay Devgn led thriller is shaping up as an intriguing addition to Bollywood’s supernatural genre.
