Vijay Deverakonda Calls EPIC a Beautiful Film
Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have praised EPIC – First Semester, starring Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya. The duo watched the film together in Hyderabad before sharing their reactions. Vijay described it as a beautiful film and appreciated director Aditya Hasan’s realistic portrayal of youth, dreams, responsibilities and fears.
Vijay particularly highlighted an emotional father - son phone conversation, revealing that the scene moved him to tears. He congratulated the entire team for creating an honest and heartfelt story. The film follows Aditya, an aspiring filmmaker from Telangana, who travels to London for higher studies and encounters love, independence and family expectations.
Rashmika Mandanna also showered praise on Epic, calling it different, important and relevant. She appreciated its relatable moments, portrayal of modern relationships and emotional depiction of parents sacrificing for children studying abroad. She congratulated Anand, Vaishnavi and the entire team, while encouraging audiences to experience the film in theatres.
Directed by Aditya Hasan, Epic – First Semester released on September 11, bringing the Baby pair together again. Hesham Abdul Wahab provides the music, with Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya producing. Reviews have praised the lead performances and emotional moments, though some noted a slow middle portion and uneven climax.
